Services
An architect turns a vision into a reality. Augment Architecture offers a nimble and tailored approach to your residential refurbishment or extension. We can develop a design, achieve planning consents or supervise the construction, as well as manage the many stages in between. We can also offer 'full services', taking a project from inception to completion.

The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) stages, outlined below, describe what we offer.

Augment Architecture offers a free phone or video consultation to discuss your project.
Stage 1:Â Preparation and Briefing
We will attend your property and establish your brief and budget.

We will advise on the feasibility of your ideas and discuss the options for obtaining planning consent.

We can also carry out a site survey.
Stage 2: Concept Design
We will prepare a set of drawings for your review. These can be amended following your feedback.

To assist you in visualising the end result, we can also prepare interior and exterior 3D drawings.
Stage 3: Developed Design
We will refine the drawings and prepare a planning application for submission to the local authority.

We will liaise with the local authority on your behalf until a decision has been made.
Stage 4: Technical Design
We will prepare construction drawings, specifications, schedules and documentation to allow the works to be priced.

We will submit a Building Control application and will liaise with engineers, party wall surveyors and others to prepare for construction.
Stage 5: Construction
We will act as Contract Administrator and monitor the progress of works.

We will check that the project is built in accordance with the Contract Drawings.

We will certify that contractors are invoicing for the correct sums.
Stages 6 & 7: Completion & Aftercare
We will identify and schedule any remaining works or snagging.

We will coordinate with Building Control and certify that the works have been completed.
We will return and inspect the works 6-12 months after completion. Provided there are no issues, we will release a final sum to the contractor.
